Reasearch area: history of musical culture of the Republic of Moldova.
The purpose of the research is to identify the contribution of the teachers from the Special Piano Department of AMTAP to the formation of the national professional education of pianists, to the development of concert performance and to the enhancement of the national musicology in the years 1944–1981. Objectives of the research: to systemize and introduce in a scientific circuit archive recordings regarding piano teachers’ and students’ activity; to demonstrate the list of the piano chair professors and students; to study its multinational professional origin; to characterize the study process as a realization of pedagogical and performing principles of the leading professors; to evaluate their role in concert life of MSSR and in the field of scientific-methodical materials elaboration.
Scientific novelty and originality. The dissertation is the first musicological work, which has as main objective history of piano chair of the KSC. The wide range of materials about pedagogical, performing, scientific and methodical activity of the chair members between 1944–1981 is put in scientific usage. Originality is determined by syntheses of musicology and culture studies.
The received results facilitate solving of the important scientific problem, consisting of a holistic presentation of multi-faceted activity of teachers and students of the piano chair of the KSC during 1944–1981, that contributes to the theoretical understanding of the process of piano art development of the Republic of Moldova and covers some lacunas in the national musical history study.
Theoretical value. This work contributes to a more complete understanding of the piano art development in the Republic of Moldova. The scientific data put in usage makes it possible to evaluate the activity of the piano chair from a modern point of view.
Practical value of the work. The dissertation materials can be used in such courses as National music history, History of performing art, Piano teaching methods, Instrument (piano). The research results are of interest for musicologists, musical critics, pianists-teachers, students and concert performers.
Scientific results implementation. The results of the research were approved at 11 national and international scientific–practical conferences, were published in 8 scientific articles at the specialized scientific editions of the Republic of Moldova and in one monograph.
